Dr. George Rector, Jr.
Rhonda Bertholf, CNM, LNP, MSN has a variety of professional experiences as an RN as well as a Certified Nurse Midwife, Licensed Nurse Practitioner, and Certified Lactation Consultant. She has been licensed and certified since finishing her Masters Degree in Nursing from East Carolina University in 1996. For 14+ years she delivered approximately 100 babies per year as well as caring for women of all ages in the office for their gynecological care. She finished a certification program to become a Lactation Consultant to further help women caring for their infants. She joined Total Care for Women last November, 2010 to be a part of a thriving and growing practice.

Before attending graduate school, Rhonda had a variety of experiences enriching her professional growth. She graduated from a diploma school of nursing in 1978 located in Minneapolis, Minn. She worked on the women’s surgical floor until joining the Navy. As a Navy nurse, she worked in orthopedics, pediatrics, oncology and medical floors at Great Lakes, Illinois. She was voluntarily discharged to become a military wife and mother. Rhonda studied and earned her bachelor degree in Nursing in 1988 from Regents University in Albany, New York. She became employed at several hospitals working in women’s health, including gynecology, pediatrics, labor and delivery, antepartum and postpartum. She has designed, implemented and taught several programs of childbirth education as a certified instructor. It was during this time she realized her calling to work in women’s health as a CNM and LP. She hopes to continue working in women’s health until retirement.
